"Lead by Serving Needs"
We have David Spungin joining us this Friday. David is an executive coach and leadership consultant known for transforming technical experts into emotionally intelligent, high-performing leaders. A graduate of West Point and a former U.S. Army Cavalry Officer, David brings the discipline of elite military training and the insight of two decades leading business and government teams to his coaching practice.
After a decade of military service, including a combat deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom, David transitioned to corporate leadership. There, he quickly made his mark, growing a business unit to $400M and setting new sales records at a multibillion-dollar firm. His success led him into management consulting, where he directed complex initiatives for federal agencies before fully dedicating himself to leadership development.
As founder of David Spungin Coaching, he has trained and coached over five thousand leaders at organizations like Google, Lockheed Martin, NetApp, Agilent, TIAA, Accenture, and Arrow. His clients value his data-driven approach, directness, and ability to make leadership development both practical and transformative.
David specializes in Servant Leadership, Executive Presence, Emotional Intelligence, and Change Leadership. He’s held a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation through the ICF, earned a Master’s in Organization Development, and completed advanced leadership studies at Harvard University. David is also certified in numerous top-tier leadership assessments, including The Leadership Circle, Hogan, DiSC, MBTI, PMAI, and EQ-i 2.0.
David has authored several books, and his newest Amazon best-selling book, Lead by Serving Needs, equips managers with a clear roadmap to serve, lead, and scale impact through emotional intelligence and trust-building.
