“Areas of Community Service”

The Community Service Committee recognizes, as Rotarians, we have both an opportunity and a duty to make our community a better place to live by actively serving those around us. Our club’s community service includes primarily the work of our club sponsored projects, activities and programs, as well as the support of non-club activities and programs of other area non-profits in the community. The following shows our different areas of community service along with some of our club sponsored projects:

  1. Human Services - Helping people who are less fortunate and in need of a helping hand. (Mountain Backpack Program*, Salvation Army Bell Ringers)

  2. Arts and CultureFostering appreciation of the performing and visual arts in the community. (Rotary Musical Park, Rotary’s Lobby at Center Stage)

  3. Civic Being good citizens by supporting multiple agencies, organizations and groups which will benefit the general public at large. (Rotary Wildfire Ready Project*, Seniors Thanksgiving Project, Foothills Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show, Veteran’s Memorial Park Statue)

  4. Environment Fostering awareness, appreciation for, and preservation of our natural environment. (Rotary Recycle Day, Rotary Road Warriors/Adopt a Highway Program)
