2018 Rotary Club of Evergreen 10th Annual Mereth Meade Recycle Day

The Rotary Club of Evergreen Recycle Roundup Day has renamed this annual event after it’s founder, Mereth Meade!  It’s now called the 10th Annual Mereth Meade Recycle Day.  On Saturday September 22rd from 9.00 a.m. through 2.00 p.m. Evergreen and surrounding communities are invited to bring their hard to re-cycle items to Evergreen Country Day School, behind Home Depot in Evergreen. The Evergreen Rotary and Goodwill Industries of Denver will partner again this year accepting electronics with small fees for old tv’s and/or computer monitors.  Paper shredding will be available for only five dollars for each box or bag of paper.  Please note that paper must be free of metals such as binder and butterfly clips (staples and paper clips are OK).  Mattresses/Box Springs are fifteen dollars for each piece.  Most items are free like paint, metals, walkers, wheel chairs and canes, clothes, shoes, skiis/boots, bicycles, washers/dryers, #2 plastics, styrofoam, polystyrene and bubble wrap.  We will take any appliance or electronic with a plug, other than refrigerators. Unfortunately, we will be unable to take hazardous materials, light bulbs or batteries.  Donations are always welcome to help defray the estimated $7,000 cost to Rotary to host this event.  For more information, contact Tim Eagan at or 303-656-3953.
